Great Backyard Bird Count
Date: February 18, 2012 - February 20, 2012

Event Description
On Saturday, February 18th and Monday, February 20th in the morning we will offer 2 classes at for adults and children. The birding lessons will talk about species identification, the importance of the bird count, how to do basic bird observation, and how to correctly enter the tally into the Great Backyard Bird Count website. After the introduction, participants are encouraged to use the 22 acres of the Dunwoody Nature Center to do their bird count. We have several prime viewing areas throughout the park including our tree house, education building, gazebo, Wildcat Creek and miles of trails.
As part of our mission to educate children, families, and adults of all ages about the natural world and our place in it, this event will be FREE and open to the public.
